A Dialogue Across Time: History and Culture

From a cultural and historical perspective, this work organically integrates Chongqing's urban culture, industrial heritage, and artistic aesthetics, extracting key phrases and passages to create a unique historical narrative for the "Chongqing Art Park". From an artistic creation standpoint, the work embeds the formal language of movable type printing—symbolizing the transmission of human civilization and history—into the installation theme. Using stainless steel as the primary material, the installation features an open wall facade composed of movable characters at varying heights. The spatial composition and layout are determined by the textual content, with unified colors and subdued tones that allow the theme and art to complement each other.

"Lights of Ten Thousand Homes" presents the village's contours, streets, houses, and fields through art, creating a three-dimensional visual narrative that immerses viewers in its rustic atmosphere. Uniquely, each villager's home is integrated into the work, allowing residents to easily locate their own homes and experience a profound sense of belonging and familiarity. This artwork transcends a mere visual transformation of the village map—it represents an emotional elevation. It allows villagers to revisit familiar streets, houses, and fields, recalling their harmonious relationships with neighbors and the footprints they've left on this land. Simultaneously, it enables outsiders to appreciate the charm and vitality of this place, experiencing the unique character of Yong'an. "Lights of Ten Thousand Homes" is not merely an artwork but an emotional carrier and a repository of memories. Through artistic language, it tells the stories of this land, documents the daily lives of villagers, and conveys a deep affection and love for their homeland.
